This delicious homemade stuffing recipe is perfect for Thanksgiving or any holiday meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf bread, cubed and dried
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 2 teaspoons dried sage
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the onion and celery and sauté until softened.
  4. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, onion mixture, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and beaten eggs, stirring to combine.
  6. Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge.
  • Add sausage for extra flavor.
