  • 2 large onions Yellow or white onions work well

Batter and Breading

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs Panko preferred
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooking spray

Instructions
 

  • Slice onions into 1/2-inch thick rings. Separate the rings.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs.
  • Dip each onion ring in the flour mixture, then into the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange onion rings in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispy onion rings, you can double bread them. Adjust cooking time depending on your air fryer and desired crispiness.
