Air Fryer Turkey Burgers

Incredibly simple and delicious turkey burgers that can be made in just 12 minutes using an air fryer. These burgers are fast, easy, and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 99% fat-free ground turkey
  • 0.25 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • Buns Your favorite kind
  • Optional toppings Sautéed onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, Thousand Island dressing, etc.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, Panko breadcrumbs, milk, yellow mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions and gently shape each into a patty about ¾-inch thick.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the turkey patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
  • Cook for 6 minutes.
  • Gently flip the patties and place one slice of cheddar cheese on top of each burger.
  • Continue cooking for another 6 minutes, or until the burgers are cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C) and the cheese is melted.
  • Toast your buns if desired, then assemble your burgers with the cheese-covered patties and your favorite toppings.

Notes

You can mix the burger mixture and form the patties up to 24 hours in advance and store them covered in the refrigerator. Cook in batches if your air fryer is small to ensure even cooking.
