Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients & Apples

  • 0.5 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 0.25 cup almond milk or any milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped apples about 2 medium apples
  • 0.25 cup chopped walnuts optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped apples and walnuts, if using.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
