Baked Creamy Chicken Mozzarella Pasta

A creamy and cheesy baked pasta dish with chicken and marinara sauce.

  • 9x13 inch baking dish Or similar sized oven-safe dish
  • Large pot For cooking pasta

Ingredients
  

Pasta & Chicken

  • 1 lb cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 12 oz penne or rigatoni pasta

Sauce & Cheese

  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • fresh basil or parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, shredded chicken, marinara sauce, heavy cream, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir until well combined.
  • Pour the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through and cheese is melted and slightly browned.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley, if desired.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
