Beef Onion Stir Fry

A quick and flavorful beef and onion stir-fry.

Equipment

  • Wok or large skillet A wok is ideal, but a large skillet will work.

Ingredients
  

Beef and Marinade

  • 250 g Beef sirloin Thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil

Vegetables and Sauce

  • 2 Large onions Thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine the beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  • Add the sliced onions and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Add the marinated beef to the wok and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes, until browned.
  • Stir in the oyster sauce and brown sugar. Cook for another minute until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Adjust the amount of soy sauce and brown sugar to your taste.
