  • Serving platter
  • Spoon
  • bowl for lemon water, if preventing browning
  • Microwave to warm caramel if needed

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 3 medium apples Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala recommended
  • 1 cup caramel sauce good quality jarred or homemade
  • 0.25 cup crushed peanuts or sprinkles optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice for preventing browning, optional
  • 1 cup water for preventing browning, optional

Instructions

  • Wash your apples thoroughly. Then, carefully slice them into wedges. You can leave the skin on. You can also core them if you prefer, but it's not strictly necessary.
    3 medium apples
  • Lay your apple slices out on a serving platter. Arrange them in a way that looks appealing.
    3 medium apples
  • Generously drizzle the caramel sauce all over the apple slices. Ensure each piece has a good coating.
    3 medium apples
  • If using crushed peanuts or sprinkles, sprinkle them over the caramel-covered apples now.
    3 medium apples

Notes

To prevent browning, toss apple slices in a mixture of 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 cup water after slicing. Drain well before arranging. If caramel sauce is too thick, gently warm it in the microwave for a few seconds until drizzle-able. Best enjoyed fresh.
