Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole

A cheesy, comforting casserole combining the flavors of a cheeseburger and french fries.

Ingredients
  

Meat & Veggies

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.5 onion onion, finely diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

Sauce & Cheese

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 0.25 cup yellow mustard
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen french fries

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat; drain excess grease.
  • Add the diced onion and garlic powder to the beef and cook until softened.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, milk, ketchup, and mustard.
  • Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Add the frozen french fries to the bowl and gently mix to combine.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly. Garnish with desired toppings before serving.

Notes

Optional toppings include diced pickles, chopped tomatoes, lettuce, or extra cheese.
