Ingredients
  

Wonton Filling

  • 1 cup Poblano peppers Roasted and peeled
  • 1 cup Queso fresco Crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon Cilantro Chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Ground

Jalapeño Soy Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 Jalapeños Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Lime juice
  • 24 Wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil For frying

Instructions
 

  • Roast poblano peppers until skin is blackened, then peel and chop.
  • In a bowl, combine chopped poblanos, queso fresco, cilantro, and cumin.
  • Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  • Fold wontons and crimp edges to seal.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, minced jalapeños, and lime juice.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully fry wontons until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Serve immediately with the jalapeño soy sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute the queso fresco with a vegan cheese alternative.
