Cottage Cheese Chips 🧀✨

These crispy cottage cheese chips are a surprisingly delicious and healthy snack! A great way to sneak in some extra protein.

Ingredients
  

  • * 1 cup cottage cheese 🧀
  • * 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • * 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • * 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • * 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • * 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • * 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • * 1 tablespoon olive oil or oil spray
  • * Parchment paper 📜

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cottage cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Lightly spray the parchment paper with olive oil (or use an oil spray). This prevents sticking.
  • Using a spoon or a small cookie scoop, drop small mounds of the cottage cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each mound. Aim for about 1-inch diameter mounds.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy. Keep a close eye on them towards the end of cooking time as they can burn easily.
  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the chips cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. This allows them to crisp up further.
  • Once cool, enjoy your crispy cottage cheese chips!

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add other spices such as Italian seasoning, chili powder, or cumin. You can also experiment with different herbs like chives or dill. If you prefer a stronger cheesy flavor, use a higher-fat cottage cheese. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet, as this will prevent even cooking and browning.
