Ingredients
Cake Layer

yellow cake mix

cup
lemon pudding mix
Instant pudding mix

cup
water
1
cup
vegetable oil
Lemon Topping
1
can
lemon pie filling
1
cup
heavy cream
1
cup
frozen whipped topping
thawed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, water, and oil. Mix until just combined.
Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
Spread lemon pie filling evenly over the batter.
In a separate bowl, gently fold together heavy cream and thawed whipped topping.
Spread the cream mixture over the lemon pie filling.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
For a more intense lemon flavor, add the zest of one lemon to the batter.
