Garlic Butter Sauce

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare artichokes: Cut off stems; trim thorny leaf tips. Halve lengthwise and remove fuzzy choke.
In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
Season artichoke halves generously with salt and pepper.
Place artichoke halves cut-side up on a baking sheet. Pour garlic butter mixture over artichokes, ensuring they are well coated.
Roast for 40-45 minutes, or until artichokes are tender and slightly browned.
Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges, if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
