Ingredients
  

Okra and Spices

  • 1 pound fresh okra washed and dried
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Aromatics and Oil

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the okra, olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss to coat the okra evenly with the oil and spices.
  • Spread the okra in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Roast for 20 minutes, or until the okra is tender and slightly browned, flipping halfway through.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve as a side dish with your favorite protein or enjoy as a snack.

Notes

For spicier okra, add more chili powder or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
