Ingredients
Crust
1.5cupsgraham cracker crumbs
0.25cupunsalted butter, melted
0.25cupsugar
Key Lime Filling
8ozcream cheese, softened1 package
0.5cupsweetened condensed milk
0.5cupkey lime juice
1teaspoonlime zest
Other Ingredients
3.4ozinstant vanilla pudding mix1 package
2cupscold milk
2cupswhipped cream(or whipped topping)
Fresh lime slices and zestfor garnish
Instructions
Prepare the crust: Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl. Press into the bottom of your trifle bowl.
Make the key lime filling: In a separate bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until smooth and creamy.
Prepare the pudding: In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and thickened. Let it sit for a few minutes to set.
Layer the trifle: Spread half of the key lime filling over the graham cracker crust. Top with half of the prepared pudding.
Add whipped cream: Spread half of the whipped cream over the pudding layer.
Repeat layers: Repeat layers with the remaining key lime filling, pudding, and whipped cream.
Chill and garnish: Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to set completely. Garnish with fresh lime slices and zest before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use full-fat cream cheese and milk. You can also add a layer of crushed meringue cookies for extra texture.
