Layered Zucchini Ricotta Melts with Marinara

Cheese and Sauce

cup
ricotta cheese
1
cup
marinara sauce
0.5
cup
shredded mozzarella
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
Layer half of the zucchini slices in the bottom of the baking dish.
Spread half of the ricotta cheese evenly over the zucchini.
Top with half of the marinara sauce.
Repeat layers with remaining zucchini, ricotta, and marinara.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top layer.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until zucchini is tender and cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder to the ricotta cheese.
