Lemon Garlic Shrimp Orzo Recipe: Quick & Delicious!

Ingredients
  

Shrimp and Aromatics

  • 1 pound Shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Orzo and Sauce

  • 1 cup Orzo pasta
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 lemon Lemon Juiced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese Grated

Instructions
 

  • Cook orzo according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Stir in cooked orzo, chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat to low, stir in butter and parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately and garnish with extra lemon zest or parsley if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
