Fresh mozzarella balls

Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined.
Cut each mozzarella ball in half.
Form the meat mixture into 1-inch meatballs, pressing a mozzarella half into the center of each.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
Transfer the browned meatballs to a baking dish.
Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs. Add minced garlic and oregano.
Cover and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce is bubbly.
Serve hot, over pasta or with crusty bread.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture or the sauce.
