1boxCake mix (any flavor)
1stickButter, melted
2Large eggs
1cupChopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Cream Cheese Frosting
1(8 oz) packageCream cheese, softened
1(16 oz) boxPowdered sugar
1Large egg
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and nuts. Mix until well combined.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely in the pan before frosting.
While the cake is cooling, prepare the frosting. In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Beat in the egg until well incorporated. The frosting should be light and fluffy.
Once the cake is completely cool, frost it evenly with the cream cheese frosting.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the frosting to set.
