Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Candy

Ingredients
Peanut Butter Mixture

creamy peanut butter
2
cups
powdered sugar

cup
heavy cream

tsp
vanilla extract
Optional additions

chocolate chips
Semi-sweet or milk chocolate

chopped peanuts

Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and heavy cream.
Mix until well combined and smooth. If using, add chocolate chips and peanuts at this stage.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pour the peanut butter mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly to about 1/2 inch thickness.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
Once firm, cut into small squares or other desired shapes.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of powdered sugar. Adjust the amount of powdered sugar to achieve desired consistency.
