Pumpkin Cheese Ball

A festive and easy cheese ball shaped like a pumpkin, coated in crushed Doritos for a fun fall appetizer.

  • Plastic wrap large piece
  • rubber bands 3 large

Ingredients
  

Cheese Ball Mixture

  • 8 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 1.5 cups shredded smoked cheddar or sharp cheddar cheese shredding your own from a block gives the best texture
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet fiesta ranch packet (1.1 oz)

Coating and Garnish

  • 2 cups Doritos crushed, Nacho Cheese flavor
  • 1 baby pickle baby pickle for stem garnish
  • 2 leaves leaves like parsley or cilantro, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, sour cream, and the fiesta ranch packet. Mix until beautifully combined and smooth.
  • Lay out a large piece of plastic wrap on a clean counter or cutting board.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture into the center of the plastic wrap. Gather the edges of the plastic wrap to shape the mixture into a round ball.
  • Wrap the ball tightly in plastic wrap. Twist the ends and secure with rubber bands to maintain the round shape.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  • Unwrap the chilled cheese ball carefully.
  • Pour crushed Doritos onto a plate. Gently roll the cheese ball in the crushed Doritos, ensuring an even coating.
  • Transfer the coated cheese ball to a serving platter.
  • Press the baby pickle into the top as a stem, and tuck leaves around it for garnish.

Notes

Serve with crackers, pretzels, or veggie sticks for dipping. Can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 2 days before coating and garnishing.
