Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise and sour cream.
Add the chopped cilantro and chives.
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper (if using).
Add the lime juice.
Whisk all ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. You may want to add more lime juice for extra tang or cayenne for more heat.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Serve with your favorite vegetables, chips, or as a salad dressing.
Notes
For a thicker dressing, use less sour cream or add a tablespoon of Greek yogurt.
