Strawberry Balsamic Jam

This is a ridiculously simple and fast strawberry balsamic jam recipe that requires no canning. It's bursting with flavor and comes together in under 20 minutes.

  • Medium saucepan
  • Spoon for mashing berries
  • clean jar or container

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries chopped
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey adjust to sweetness preference
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

Instructions
 

  • Wash and chop strawberries into bite-sized pieces.

  • Combine chopped strawberries, balsamic vinegar, and sweetener in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

  • Stir occasionally until strawberries break down and release juices (about 5-7 minutes). Gently mash some berries with a spoon for a jammy consistency.
  • Remove saucepan from heat and stir in chia seeds.

  • Let the mixture sit undisturbed for 10-15 minutes to thicken.
  • Spoon jam into a clean jar or container and let cool completely before sealing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 weeks.
